Precursor is a 3D Parkour Platformer in which you play as a young explorer, navigate their way through a temple in Indonesia to collect pieces of an ancient spear that is hidden within the temple.

-- Level Designer:
- Creating a blockout of the temple and each of its playable segments
- Working with fellow level designers, artists, and engineers to make sure everything stays within our creative vision.
- Worked with lead level designer testing sections to ensure a fun experience.
- Making sure that key gameplay elements such as the grappling hook interacted well with our level.
- Editing the level using final assets alongside artists to ensure that the atmosphere is well conveyed and level finalized.

-- QA Organizer:
- Creating spreadsheets and documents where the team can playtest together
- Working with the creative directors to create and collect playtest data from people playing a demo build we sent out.
- Organizing all responses into said spreadsheets, saving important names, ensuring that proper changes can be made before the game launches
- Adding personal suggestions to improve the game feel, such as lighting or animation and sound additions.

Final Thoughts: This was indeed the biggest thing I have ever worked on, and the team taught me a lot about my own abilities and where to improve, as well as how working on major titles felt. It was quite hectic and a lot of changes had to be made but it was all worth the PAX and Post-Mortem demos.

ABOUT ME

My name is Glenndale Bartolome (AKA Gbartolome), and I am an aspiring game designer, hoping to get a career in level design. But I can do other stuff like write and playtest. I am a student of Fitchburg State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Game Design, and I have a strong passion for games, which led me down the career path I am in today. I hold special interest in seeing the structure and layout of a game's world, and how that world informs the game's story or lore.
